Parishioners’ generous giving of time, talent, and financial support evokes the meaning of stewardship.
Stewardship is the practice of systematic and proportionate giving of time, abilities and material possessions. These are a trust from God to be used in his service for the benefit of all humankind in grateful acknowledgement of Christ’s redeeming love. The Lord Jesus put it simply like this: The gift you have received, give as a gift!
Stewardship for Our Lady of Pompeii Church parishioners means committing a defined portion of time, talent and treasure to the parish mission of worship, education and service. Stewardship is consciously and faithfully designating a weekly place in your BlackBerry and your checkbook for Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
Our website suggests the many and varied ways that parishioners of all ages can contribute their time and talent to the building up of the Body of Christ within our parish confines and beyond. Every parishioner household is routinely asked to take part in our weekly/monthly contribution. We ask Our Lady of Pompeii's parishioners to consider a minimum weekly gift of $25. Contribution envelopes are mailed to parishioners’ homes while electronic giving is welcomed and can be easily arranged by following our Electronic Giving page. Your consistent planned giving allows the parish to establish a sound budget, plan disbursements accordingly, and plan future projects and ministries.
Thank you for taking your place in the parish! May God bless you abundantly!
